ary stopped by the QAF with a big surprise! Just a few years ago, when he was a teenager, Shaun received services at Ledger House. He wanted to give something back to help other kids and decided to make a $1,000 donation. His gift to the Gatekeeper Education Program will support early treatment of mental health disorders in children and youth.
Len and Phyllis Dawkin have put smiles on the faces of 28 children by sending them to QA Summer Camp over the past five years. In August 2008, Phyllis and Len Dawkin began donating each month to the Foundation’s Hugs for Kids monthly giving program. Thanks to the generosity of this lovely couple, six children each summer attend a fun-filled two weeks at camp. Not only have the Dawkins funded the $350 camp fees for each child, they have a long history of supporting children by sending toys and treats to a Ukraine cancer hospital for many years. We applaud their heartfelt giving and invite all our readers to consider donating monthly ~ a simple way to make a huge difference in a child’s life!
