The BC Pension office have been pinching their pennies in order to help raise funds for Jeneece Place.  To encourage their staff, they even build a small house to give everyone an incentive to "pinch or pitch" in.  It was the 2nd floor vs the 4th floor.  The winner, hands down is Jeneece Place. Thank you BC Pension office for raising over $600 for Jeneece Place.  My motto is "Every Penny Counts!"

Two well-known Victorians -- a teenage fundraising machine and a native carver and artist -- will be given the province's highest honour when they receive the Order of B.C. this fall. Fifteen B.C. residents who have contributed to their communities and the province in extraordinary ways will be awarded the Order of B.C., Lt.-Gov. Steven Point announced yesterday. "The Order of British Columbia recognizes the excellence and achievements of our citizens," Point said.

WOW! Last night was so awesome.  BC Ferries held their annual golf tournament and the proceeds from this event went to The Queen Alexandra Foundation to help build Jeneece Place.  They gave us an awesome $50,000.

On March 27th I went to Vancouver for an award from Global Agents for Change.  This group is entirely run by youth.  They empower young leaders and social change agents through innovative projects, education and outreach and events. It was the 4th Annual Global Agents for Change Gala and Young Agents Awards.
