4th Annual Butterfly Ball Gives Wings to the Queen Alexandra Foundation for Children

National Volunteer Week

It's National Volunteer Week and QAF wants to thank the many volunteers who give of their time and talents in support of children and youth in need and their families. Our volunteers have been a huge support to us in the past several months with events like the Official Opening of Jeneece Place and the Fairway Market 'Pack the Pantry' campaign. Volunteers are key to any successful fundraising event and we are so grateful to our supporters.

The "Friends of Ruth" are friends of QAF and Jeneece Place!

The "Friends of Ruth" have been hard at work for months making more than 60 quilts for the families staying at Jeneece Place. Sherrill McKay, Lenore Swift and Marlene Cudmore braved the grey and rainy weather and made the 3 hour drive from Campbell River to Victoria with this very special delivery. These quilts will be enjoyed by families while they are in residence at Jeneece Place and then will accompany them home as a comforting keepsake.

Thank you to The Saanich Fire Fighters Charitable Foundation

We are so grateful to the Saanich Fire Fighters Charitable Foundation for their very generous sponsorship of the 4th annual Butterfly Ball. Their sponsorship will help the Queen Alexandra foundation for Children continue to fund programs for children and youth in need on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. If you are interested in learning more about what the Saanich fire Fighters Charitable Foundation does, please visit their website.
