How kids can make a difference in the lives of other kids! Each year, kids arrive at the Queen Alexandra Foundation (QAF) office gripping bags filled with money they raised through lemonade stands and birthday parties. Or, they excitedly watch their parents open the car door to show Foundation staff the gifts the children have bought for other kids through their efforts. These children care about other children they probably won't ever meet. But those other children will appreciate that another kid did something special just for them. The Kids Care program was created to support kids with their fundraising efforts, either individually or with their school or activity group. We are delighted to encourage kids' spirit of giving and to show them what a difference they can make by: - Holding an event - from lemonade stands to bottle drives.
- Making a donation of their own - one month's allowance, portion of money earned doing extra chores, etc.
- Asking family and friends to donate to the QAF instead of or as part of a gift for a special occasion.
We'll recognize these kids who help others by name in the Queen Alexandra Foundation's newsletter, Bearings, and they'll also receive a certificate, bookmark, and an invitation to a special party at the Queen Alexandra Centre.
